The Hirono Golf Club is an embodiment of the purest form of the traditional golf design in the world. The course has made no effort to strike with bulk, with length, with the glow of contemporary pomp. Rather, it is based on accuracy, moderation and planning. All the elements of the design indicate the view that golf must make the judgment before it can make the test of strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

The course is located in the forested hills of Hyogo, Japan, and it fits in with the environment. The players soon learn that there is no accident in this. The placement of fairways, bunkers and greens are not without purpose. The process is slow in its unfolding and it rewards patience and punishes impatience. This is the silent strength that makes Hirono Golf Club remain an elite in the world without use of publicity.<\/span><\/p>\n
